We had dinner before the Popa Chubby Show last night. Our food was excellent, partly because our expert waitress, Kayla, provided detailed information on individual meals. Her recommendations were spot on! All four of us said we would come back. And the show was something special!!

Besides a great selection of draft and bottled beer - coming from Berlin my favorite is the Berliner Weisse they serve - they also have great brunch dishes! And a good selection of hot sauces for those who like spicy food! So a great place around the clock.

Super cool place with plenty of space. We were at the downstairs and enjoyed ourselves some darts and beer. The drink selection is impressive so there's definitely something for everyone. They even a pool table and a slot machine.Though the wait to order our drinks was a few minutes we did get them quick.

Very good places to eat hamburger and drink a wide range of different beers. Very good service as well.

Came here for brunch. The brunch special is three rounds of beverages and a breakfast appetizer and is very reasonably priced. I had the omelet with hash browns. It was great. Atmosphere is good, good music playing, and friendly staff.

Great place and great beer selection. I've always had good luck with the food. Can't go wrong with burgers, but also the fish & chips, and a pasta dish with chicken, shrimp & and andouille. Love it when I can also see a concert here.

Warm, dark atmosphere, broad beer selection, attentive staff

Visited for School of Rock show over lunch. I had a couple Virgina beers and the Grilled Turkey, Bacon, & Brie Flat bread. It was delicious. Bacon was crisp on the edges, along with the sliced turkey, brie, and pepper jelly made for a great sandwich. Was a tad drippy, but nothing a napkin couldn't handle. As always the fries were perfect.

I went for lunch and dined alone. I was first glad that they didn't push me to sit at the bar. I wanted to be at a table that day and appreciated that they didn't question that. My server was really sweet and helpful. I ordered the club sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was good and the fries were amazing. The portion was huge so I was able to bring half of it home. Afterwards I let my server talk me into taking home a piece of triple chocolate cheesecake. It was AMAZING! I would definitely go back here and highly recommend it!

Went to the Capitol Ale House for lunch, it gives me old fashion but sentimental, warm vibes.The food was delicious and the server was very attentive. We ordered the crab and shrimp dip along with the shrimp tacos and I have no complaints. Great place for several types of beer also. I would reccommend.

My God this place is great. I was looking through the paper on the john one day and saw the guitarist from motley crew was performing spoke word here. The act threw me for a loop but once he got into it, I knew the price of admission was worth it

I had the Crispy Fish Tacos with sweet potato fries and one of their famous pretzel. The food was really good. The service was pretty good, I was stuck in a corner and was kind of forgotten about. Not that this was a bad thing. My drink was filled every time it got close to empty. Took some time to get my check, which was good because I wasn’t ready to leave when I was done eating. I will be coming back on my next visit to Richmond.

Friendly staff and great service. Food was very good and portions were large. Huge selection of craft beer.

Really appreciate the General Manager of this location responding to me to address the issue I expressed. She was very attentive and understanding and never gave an excuse. She completely took ownership and assured that the issue I had, has been addressed. Because of her, I have changed my review to show appreciation for her being so attentive, understanding, and caring. Thanks again. I'm sure I will stop by for a visit again very soon.

The Mac and Cheese was great. They also have a nice venue for shows you can see.

What a disaster! Eight of us went out after work. The pretzel app came out and had a long hair in the dip. The manager apologized and sent another one out and it also had hair in it again. Three of us ordered hamburgers medium and all three came out raw! The only good thing that night was the food was comped. I'm never going back.

An incredible and classy American restaurant located in the heart of Richmond. Great menu, setting, drinks, and truly courteous service. Varied menu and extremely tasty beer garden-style foods.

I ordered the special seafood dish, which was buttered seared halibut with asparagus and cheesy risotto, about $22, when the plate arrived I instantly smelled ammonia, which should've been a red flag! I tasted and was overwhelmed with salt and rotten tasting fish! Yuck! The server came back and asked how I liked my meal, I said I didn't and she said okay and left. I sat there and took a couple more bites, and I was like no way! The waitress finally came back and I told her again that I didn't like the meal and how it tasted, so I just ordered the dessert special, which was a slice of turtle cheesecake with whipped cream, very tasty, sweet smooth and cruchy. Manager, (I think was the manger) delivered my dessert never asking a question or anything. Oh, well.Total $12 w/tip. I was very disappointed with my dinner. Dessert was good. Very surprised by how good the food was. I went here to see a music performance and arrived early to get some dinner. They have a shockingly good list of beer and the food was much better than expected. The show was also great. An overall wonderful experience. The Belgian Style fries were a huge hit.

Listening room is awesome. Great acoustics with some seating on perimeter of room. Well ventilated even with a full house. Two problems: no decent parking options for venue. Lining up for entry to concert winds through the bar/restaurant. Poorly thought out. Otherwise great experience.

Great place. Live music was awesome I enjoyed a lot. Great selection of drinks. Wine was wonderful. Great services by great staff.

Fantastic eats with plenty of options for drinks. Great menu with something for everyone. The environment is chill but not pretentious and with and old by gone era feel to the ambiance. My friend and I both had the club sandwich and it's not hard to make but it's easy to screw up. They did it perfectly!

Quick service with good food. I sat alone at the bar and service throughout the night was well paced. Extensive beer list and bartender seemed knowledgable. I ordered the spinach and crab dip and it was served hot, was prepared well, and delicious. The bar was a little noisy but not so loud you couldn't carry a conversation. The price seemed maybe a little high but not unreasonable.
